Caroline Ho is a film composer, pianist, and cellist based in Los Angeles, CA. She grew up studying classical piano and cello and started composing at a young age; her first orchestral composition premiered internationally at the age of 13. She has since expanded her musical palette by intertwining her rich experience as a classical performer with scoring by experimenting with live acoustic & electric strings, creative production, and piano on many scores.
After graduating from Yale with honors, Caroline received mentorship from multi Oscar-nominated composer Marco Beltrami (The Hurt Locker, Logan, etc.), collaborated with composers such as Ryan Lott of Son Lux, and most recently composed music for box office hit A Quiet Place: Day One and American Horror Stories with composer Alexis Grapsas.
Now an up-and-coming composer herself, recent scoring projects include Mother of the Bride (2024) on Netflix directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls, Freaky Friday), making her one of the youngest composers to score a studio film, as well as another Netflix feature slated for 2025, and recent premieres at TIFF and Tribeca 2023.
